Just last week there was a man executed in ohio and it made national news because it took over 20 mins for him to die. The constitution protects against cruel and unusual punishment but says nothing about a painless death. I say this murderer got what he deserved for what he did to that women and her unborn child. That is just my opinion though. I agree with bringing back hanging and electric chair. The death penalty is a deterrent and these people have done unspeakable crimes to get to where they are.
"Painful Death", I think was decision of each state; SOME state don't even HAVE the Death Penalty... I think Vermont is one; had one inmate at MAX Security Prison in Virginia (which has Death Penalty) transfer "up there". He was "in" for Murder, serving LIFE, and flew up with US Marshals & Warden of the Prison... was "Jail-house Lawyer", Leader of D-Building. His family (wife & son) followed him up, a week later.
