Police Investigate 2nd Elderly Assault Claim In 2 Weeks

Just last week there was a man executed in ohio and it made national news because it took over 20 mins for him to die. The constitution protects against cruel and unusual punishment but says nothing about a painless death. I say this murderer got what he deserved for what he did to that women and her unborn child. That is just my opinion though. I agree with bringing back hanging and electric chair. The death penalty is a deterrent and these people have done unspeakable crimes to get to where they are.

"Painful Death", I think was decision of each state; SOME state don't even HAVE the Death Penalty... I think Vermont is one; had one inmate at MAX Security Prison in Virginia (which has Death Penalty) transfer "up there". He was "in" for Murder, serving LIFE, and flew up with US Marshals & Warden of the Prison... was "Jail-house Lawyer", Leader of D-Building. His family (wife & son) followed him up, a week later.

I will only say it only once, stop the baiting, insults and implied insults, those who don't will find they are on a timeout.

First off I'll admit to knowing nothing about how the prison system works but how in the hell can a person sentenced to death in VA get transferred to a state that dosn't have the death penalty ? I'm assuming he committed the crime in VA, was sentenced to death by a VA judge, etc. If it's that easy why isn't everyone with a death sentence doing it ? This is a serious question to something I've never heard of. Or was it a "life" sentence he was given in VA and he's just serving life in Vermont instead ? If that's the case your post has nothing to do with the death penalty. Your post is a bit confusing to say the least.

The death penalty is a deterrent to crime. Public execution use to be the norm but now we take care of these murderers for up to 20 years for the appeals process to run out and then put them to sleep and they die with meds injected into them. I know this is not the old west but the victims didn't have it this easy. If you are on death row you are there for a capital crime and have done something horrible. It's not easy to get the death penalty in ohio so when you get sentenced to death you damn well deserve it and it should be done ASAP. That is my opinion. I don't understand liberals in one breath they will try to condemn execution and the other they are for killing innocent babies in the mothers belly. But hey this is still the good ole USA and we all still have our rites to speak our minds and I will defend that rite. I took an oath when I joined the service and even though I'm not in anymore I still hold that oath close to my heart and believe I'm still obligated to uphold them.

SOME state don't even HAVE the Death Penalty...

I believe all states ought to have the death penalty. And I agree with Kodiak43351 that a "painful death" is not protected and this guy got what he deserved. And to stay on topic here... when elderly people are getting assaulted maybe they ought to pay with their life also... that would be a real deterrent. Maybe (but I doubt it) assaulters are "smarter" than murderers? There's not much difference at all anyway.

For the death penalty to be effective it has to actually be used as well. NH is a good example. They have it on the books. In fact if I remember correctly they still allow hanging. Buttt... the last execution in NH was in 1939. Having it and not using it when it's appropriate is like having a mean dog with no teeth.. And why are you here ? You're another one who seems to thrive on the drama and the conflict. I come here to hang out with others and discuss all sorts of topics respectfully and politely. Not to argue and be drawn into arguments by folks looking to disrupt forums just for sport. You clearly have no respect even for the moderators the way you're always challenging them. The other day you're threatening to use your connections as a former cop to run background checks on other members here and when a mod pointed out that it's not only against the rules, it's also illegal you laughed in their face as if you think you're above the law. My apologies but I don't wake up every morning, grab a cup of coffee, and go in search of strangers to argue with. It's very very odd.. And what's UP with the WEIRD habit of RANDOMLY typing SOME words in all CAPS ? Very strange, kind of like a child seeking attention... No need to respond. I'm NOT taking the BAIT..

NEVER threatened ANYONE... it was a JOKE! AND! I don't type in all caps! Have YOU ever seen Closed-Captioning? Mostly ALL "Caps". NOT seeking attention... STOP the insult. THANKS.

LOL @ closed captioning.. As if it matters if there are any deaf people on an internet forum where typed words are the ONLY method of communication.. Didn't mean to come across as insulting anyone. My apologies. I stand by my comment that some folks are just here to argue and to bait others into an argument though. And then point out to the admin "look at what he did".. etc... It's fairly obvious. We have ALL been asked to play nice and I'm going to take that advice. Have a good night.

Well, it wasn't ME!

As I posted on another thread, will only say it once, applies to all, stop the baiting, insults and implied insults or find yourself on a timeout....

I found out earlier that one of the houses that was shot up with these marbles was a 90 year old mans house who had to be attended to because it upset him so much. So if these guys get caught I believe it will be felonious assault charges. Investigation is still ongoing but new info has surfaced so fingers crossed they get caught and pay for their crime.

Costing the tax payers F*****G millions!!
Judged by a jury...that just wants to go home...reality TV shows on ya know....

thats a great idea Red lol. I just don't get it. Why would someone want to do this. When I was younger yea I got I trouble but it wasn't for destruction of others property or theft. I was a rowdy beer drinker that got loud a few times and a few fights. When the law showed up it was yes sir, no sir and I took my punishment. I joined army and straightened out after that. I just don't understand the thinking behind shooting someone's house and breaking windows.
