A relative of mine told us about a rock house he had found on his property that we could check if we wished .
The plan came together today despite inclement weather and the three of us hiked into a deep ravine to see what was inside this walled up cliff overhang rock house .

Rain showers theratened us and fogged my camera to the point that I only salvaged this one picture of us finding and trying to open the rockhouse .
Easing out a few small wall stones we found more rock and fill in the interior of the overhang that had turned it into what would be an abutment for a very scary bridge to have traveled with horsedrawn
conveyances .
Then the steady rain hit .
A good time was had by all even though we didn't make the find of a lifetime .

So you are saying it was not a house but is part of a bridge? ???
Yep . Probably mid to late 1800's judging from the size of trees that have grown in the barely
discernable roadway . Sorry the pics that explained it better didn't turn out .
