Hey everybody! Since I’ve been up at school, I found a public park that used to be a functioning coal mine, with many surrounding houses for miner’s families (very early 20th century - 1935). While detecting where one of these houses once stood, I found this brass piece along with some other nice relics. Upon posting this on a Facebook group, I was told that this could potentially be a handle or key to a blasting machine.I’m not very familiar with these machines, so I have no idea if this ID is correct. Y’all have any ideas? Thanks in advance for any info you can provide!

Hercules was a leading powder co. at one time. Cool find.
Yep! I was seeing remnants of their stenciled dynamite crates laying around, so hopefully I can get a full one.
