I found this recently, I think i need to take it to McClarty and have it authenticated.

For what it's worth, based on your picture it looks like a full metal jacket. 45 cal round fired into a hard target. It flattened out on itself and the indentations around the center is the seating marks to denote how deep to set the projectile into the casing.
 

Still the same blurry picture, why can't you take new pictures?

It does look like a spent round, better pictures would help, not the same picture with a different filter. Out of focus is out of focus no matter what filter is used still remains blurry.
 

Call me crazy but I’ve hunted the treasure coast extensively and I’ve found a bunch of what it sort of looks like and that is a modern bullet shot into sand. By modern I mean a cartridge any time after 1900
that was my first thought
 

Try this, was able to draw out surface reflections better.
Without something of known size next to it, it makes it difficult to offer a possible idea of what it may be.
However, looking at the picture it would appear to be a jacket or fancy hat button.
From the color, it looks as if it may be some type of bronze or brass. Nice find.
 

Shape does look like a possible cartridge bottom end.
