Possible artifact?

Hello everyone. I was out fossil hunting in a creek in North Texas and just so happened to see this barely poking out of the dirt. In wondering if it some sort of native American effigy? Thanks in advance for the help.

I have never seen anything like it but that doesn't mean it isn't an artifact. It's a very unusual shape. Can you post pics looking down on the top and bottom? The top looks very similar to the top of a pestle. Pretty cool stone even if it's natural.

Size is 2 inches wide by 1.75 inches tall. To me it looks like a diff animal each way you rotate it. One way looks like a turtles neck and head, another like a bird in flight with its wings pointing downward, then a persons head with a large nose, and finally an animal with a ride on top. Maybe that's just wishful thinking though.

Since it is very small it's not a Pestle. Most likely it's just an oddly shaped stone.

Weird....looks like a carving to me....and I can see some of what you see in it, especially the "person riding something."

Can't place where, but seems I've seen a similar thing that was considered a childs toy of some sort.

Mounted to the end of a stick with the notch up would make for an awesome fishing rod prop... certainly better than a forked stick.
