Possible Civil War Era Lead Ingot?

I found this lead ingot in East Texas on my grandfathers land. I am uncertain as to its origin, age, use, or really anything about it. The ppiece is 3 inches long, but appears to have been cut, and is tapered in width from 1/2in at the top to 5/8in at the bottom, and about 1/2in thick. It has a prominent lip on the top of the ingot, as well as the number "111" and a figurine with his legs crossed, holding something up in the air. It looks more modern than most civil war ingots I have seen in pictures, and is much more ornate, but the dementions meet the others I have seen. Any info would be appreciated.

Welcome to Treasure Net..I think your Ingot find looks too recent to be civil war era...most older lead items have a chalky grey-white finish..Did you find any other civil war items in the area ? I like your phrase sawthemhornsoff..I used to work at a Bull housing facility & that was one of our jobs!! Good searching..

Can't say I found anything in the general area that was of civil war age. Found an old whiskey bottle, a shaving razor, and a fountain pen.

It's a piece of a National Lead Co. (Dutch Boy) Lead(?) bar. If you look at the right side of the pic in the auction link, you can see the 111 and the logo. They didn't start using the Dutch Boy logo until 1907, so sometime after that. Neat find

Cool find!

I think it's an old style bar of solder from the National Lead Company. Their HQ address was 111 Broadway in New York City.
