Here are the finds from Tuesday and Wednesday. All the finds are from the Union camp that i've been at a few times and the same spot i went with my son on Sunday. The Canteen stopper, if that is what it is? I found on the first trip but didn't think it was anything till i saw one posted and thought it looked like what i had. The finds are 10 Spencer casings, one Spencer bullet, one Burnside, 2 hunks of lead, dandy button, brass tarp/blanket loop, toe tap, pewter spoon, hinge, iron saddle guide, and the Shingling hatchet. The little piece all the way to the right looks like a tip/finial to the sheath to a small knife? The coin is in the worst shape i have ever dug, it has dirt and rocks stuck to it so bad nothing so far will get them off. Any suggestions, peroxide didn't do much? In the pic i have marked the only identifiable spot on the coin, its in the 10 o'clock position on the reverse and looks like a hand holding a olive branch. Like the Connecticut or later Vermont coins. Any more input would be great. I'm going to try and clean the hatchet in apple cider vinegar and i'll post the cleaned up pics when its done. Thanks for looking and HH!!

Looks like you have some great sites to detect! I'd like to help with the coin, but I can't see anything at all on it. If you see the hand holding the branch, another more likely possibility would be a British halfpenny. What is the diameter and weight?
