I found this a couple inches down very close to a triangular knapsack hook also couple inches down at a big 1850's property. I believed the yard had Been scraped because of the relics being not as deep. Any thoughts and opinions are appreciated.

Is there an attachment on the back? What is it made of? It appears that the space between two of the hearts is wider and something is broken off or bent over for attachment. It looks like it was stamped out, not hand made. If it's hand made could be his version of corp badge. I can't find one that looks like yours. good luck on I.D. and there's more stuff to find.

Looks like a four leaf clover to me

:evil5: :dontknow: :icon_scratch: :-*
looks like a petrified clover. :laughing9:
What makes you think its a corps badge? ::)

Well Tim, it was found next to some old lead and cw knapsack hook. Cw camps in that approx area
Could very well be a version of one

It does look like a pin has broken off the back, the raised piece is where the pin was attached and directly across from that is a broken place where the point of the pin would close, appears to be copper. I would consider it a corps badge if it were mine. HH

Looks like it, you should try looking up what Corps was in your area at the time.

Thanks for all the replies so far. Gives me a little hope.

Neat find; If u learn anymore on it please let me know. HH :icon_thumright:
