All, found these two artifacts on a property where an iron & brass foundry was located in the early 1800s. The first appears to be a corner bumper/protector for a table or steamer chest. There are two holes on each of the 3 sides to accommodate nails or screws. The second rectangular-shaped artifact could be furniture hardware. It is 2 pieces of brass riveted together. There are different size notches in each piece; possibly for a drawer lock. The rivets are flush. No maker's marks appear on either of the two artifacts. Any other ideas as to ID? Also age?

I'm thinking a corner cover from an old steamer trunk makes the most sense.
