Fantastic find foundation hunter! :o

I hope it turns out to be right for you! :icon_thumright:

Congrats,
Dave

I don't think its a GW button. the one pictures the shapes appear to be more together. I could be wrong I am definately not an expert but, My 2 cents is a no. I hope I am wrong though! ;D Neat find!

I can see the difference now,i had no idea they made that style inagural button.

I'm a little confused here. How would that be a G.W.? I know it's listed here in the Washington buttons as the "New York Pattern" and has a price of $100.00: http://kirkmitchell.tripod.com/CobbGW/

"An interesting colonial button. Most of the notes I find on these colonial buttons are just asides stating who he traded with and what he traded.

This may be a military button, and I have it and the previous button confused.

Harold didn't consider these part of his permanent collection.

Being sold together with Oval and Misplaced Eye in one lot."

How is this a Washington button?

In any case, its a fantastic-detailed Colonial Flattie/Dandy and a welcome addition to any button collectors box.

Just another Dandy :icon_thumright:

I saw this button in with a collection of G.Ws,i dont know how many varieties there are and though this might be one.
Thanks Gary

Looked at the link & not sure why a similar button to yours is in the mix, other than they date from the same period. Many of these turn up in the UK (where they were manufactured) & have nothing to do with GW.
