I am usually pretty pescimistic about rocks but that looks interesting.....was it found in a camp?If not,or with anything else pertinant,I would say no.There are a lot of Indian Love Stones

I've seen examples that look exactly like that one. Is it polished on the inside of the divot? Some were to protect the hand while applying pressure to the top of a shaft but that one almost looks to have a shallow channel ground into it for transferring the ember. It looks right to me. Like asked above...what other info on its context can you tell us?

Welcome to t-net Justinb. It will be hard to tell how that stone was used if at all. :dontknow: Did you find any artifacts with it?

agree

Did you find it in a creek or a river? Unless you dug it its going to be hard to know for sure. Even though you can see some possible use wear inside no visible use is showing on the outside. I would think it would be smoother where it would of been held JMO.
PS Welcome to Tnet

It looks good, but the key is where you found it. Was in conjunction with other artifacts. If they didn't use it, they sure missed a good chance, I like the looks of it. But it's really hard to tell for sure, although there looks to be some use down in the hole.
