Hello, and thanks for the add. I was referred by Bristol Mineral and Gem Club in Connecticut. I found this strange rock while on a hike in West Hartford, CT. It's roughly 3.5" x 3" x 2" and is VERY heavy for it's size. Of course I thought meteor, but it is not magnetic at all - not even a little. It is very smooth and black and brown which I thought were indications of scorching and oxidizing. Then I thought Lunar or Martian, but I just couldn't be that lucky. Please bring me back down to earth and help identify this rock. I read that some igneous rocks are not magnetic and have 3x the gravity of water. Thanks for your time and expertise in advance.
