Got up early today for a 2 hour hunt in a local field. Found $1.24 in coins and another 1965 Roosevelt....then found a this pendant which I can't find a mark on. My wife the jewelry nut cleaned it up and thinks it is sterling and that the tourquiose is real. There is a chip on the stone that has some copper color behind it. I cannot find a mark anywhere on the piece even using a loupe. I welcome your thoughts and happy hunting!~!

could be sterling. the tourquoise looks dyed? which would mean it isn't old. It's a nice piece. hope your wife wears it, I would.

looks silver to me

How much work was it to clean? For me, every time I pull out silver or gold the dirt just wipes off easy, so if it's easy to clean and heavy.. Considering there's no copper behinde the silver color, I would say it's silver as well. Also keep in mind , with no stamp it could only be 80% silver and not 925..etc.. Silver acid tests work good, and it's fun learning the colors they make with different silver compisitions.

Thanks all. It was very easy to clean. I appreciate the tips and thoughts!!
