✅ SOLVED Possibly from the Cival war?

I found this metal piece near where the Cival war took place. It has about a 2’ metal rod attached and screw threads at the tip. Any idea? 4A4A8201-4288-4FC4-A133-EA7783EBCC46.jpeg

Fireplace poker definitely. I have one identical to that (1980's).

Though it could have been from a home during the Civil War. ;-)

I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard VLT! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country). You might also consider adding your state (or country) to your displayed profile (SETTINGS -> EDIT PROFILE)...
