Valdy appeared twice on the Beachcombers, they gave him his own character. Had some big hits that got plenty of radio play in the seventies. This one is classic, Folk singer plays at Rock festival gets booed off the stage, writes a massive hit about the experience, with a line in the song "Should have stayed at home with a big case of beer"
