Much warmer here today - started out at 0F. Being the statistical genius that I am, I decided to do an in-depth analysis of the temperature trend we have been experiencing. Realize that I am not a weather man, but you cannot argue with the numbers. And I don't want to scare you, but it doesn't look good for the future of life on earth.
I plugged in the low temperature for the first 4 days of this week, then added the forecasted low for tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday. According to my elaborate spreadsheet (graphic below), the average temperature increase was 4.5 degrees per day over this week-long period. That's pretty scary. I projected forward at that same increase rate and we will hit the boiling point on March 27th. I don't know about you, but I don't think I can survive at the boiling point of water. At this rate, it will hit 124 degrees Fahrenheit on March 7th, and even those of you in Arizona and other hot spots will agree that's pretty hot.
It's up to you, but I would think about buying an air conditioned suit or installing a walk-in cooler in your house if you don't have one...
Or maybe it's just me being too worried about global warming...
Joe
Right now it's about 15 degrees.
Two weeks ago there was no snow on the ground. In the last week we got over 2 feet.
Here's a pic looking out my back door this morning.
My temp is a healthy 98.6 degrees F. That's what you meant right?
My local outdoor temp is 62 degrees F and it's absolutely fabulous outside. So why am I inside typing on this computer thingy? Sheesh, I need to reassess my priorities.
Cold front coming down out of the north! It may get down into the 50's Monday. Will be a relief from the 80's and we can turn off the A/C's!! We have been having unusual hot weather. The fruit trees will not produce without a little cold. The farmers have been having problems with this hot weather.
Record breaking temps today, you ready..................................0 with wind chills 15-24 below 0! Record low for tonight 6 degrees, we will be at 0. They state "Easily break the record" what a record to break!
Global FREEZING! If this keeps up the ground will never thaw. Anyone got a jack hammer and a salamander heater (big one)?
