Holy Freaking COW!!!!!!!! When I am not writing and illustrating books or making records I dabble in real estate and in this market it is the perfect time to invest. So.....this morning I arrive at my latest conquest to give a once over as the tennant moved out on Sunday. I expected to see it in disarray...and it is, but anyway, as I looked throughout the house and took 'before' photos I rummaged through some old boxes of old news papers about NIXON and ELVIS etc. ....which I can post if you like. Well let me just preface that the house was previously owned by a lawyer and pilot....and quite a pack rat as well....so, anyway, as I was looking into a crawl space above the garage to check insulation and drywall, I saw a knife/dagger item and picked up...I assumed it was a toy, but it was very heavy....then I thought ....'Letter opener?'.....then I saw something that blew my mind....a SWASTIKA on it....The moment I got back to my house I began researching the item to see if it was a replica, but soon discovered that it WAS REAL and the handle color made it even more rare...it is what is known as a German "Nazi" Luftwaffe (Air Force) Officer's Dagger 2nd Model.......behold.

That dagger is in remarkable shape. Everyone should try to preserve more WW2 relics. WW2 is one of my favorite interests.

Absolutly amazing!

I need to get into real estate. That's an amazing find. Maybe it belonged to Adolph himself ::)

I don't believe it! Nice find.

Great find and better yet without a MD

Congrats on the find!

Lots of great things have been found in attics and other locations.

Years ago I was having some heath problems when I sold a house and moved on. It wasn't until about a year later I remembered I had been putting items I dug while detecting and money in a hiding place above the ceiling in the basement. As best I can recall there was a jar containing several hundred dollars (about $850 I think).

It was most likely found years ago.

Right today a friend inherited an estate and while cleaning the house he discovered what is believed to be as much as $50,000 in silver and gold coins the old lady had collected over many years. My suggestion to him is keep his mouth shut about it and sell it
all off gradually on ebay.

SUPER. DO NOT CLEAN.

I have seen nazi daggers up close a long time ago....this looks genuine....the key is the quality and details.....you have got a real sweet piece of history there. No idea on current prices....absolutely no less that $400

I had a cousin who, when I was about 12 was in his 60s. He had fought in WWII in Europe, and he had a gun case with a Mauser he had brought back. He also had a scope, and when he was showing it to me, he told me that he had taken it from the rifle of a sniper he had had to kill. Really blew my mind! I dunno what happened to it, as my cousin died years ago.

Pretty cool 8) its amazing what people leave behind ...

For those of you who did not see this info when I posted it before....I did ask the previous owner if he ever owned an item like this. He said no and asked why. When I told him about it and where I found it. He told me that he had closed up that area above the garage over 10 years ago to build a room for his 'drummer' boy....who, by the way proceeded to kick holes in every wall in the entire house. I have a lead on the lady who owned the house initially....she was the daughter/owner of some Sausage Company or something. I may try to find out who she is or perhaps sell it and donate the money to a Jewish Memorial Fund or something. Dunno.
