Pressure nozzle design

I haven't built this simple design, but what are your ideas about it. Seems simple, straight forward and could be modified for any hose size.

It seems to work BUT on a marginal amount ! that threaded nipple that you had your thumb over looked like a 3/4 in. or maybe a 1 in. Dia ?? why bother with something that small ! Even a 2 inch nozzle is barely worth the effort !
