very nice. I always like to see dug V-nicks, especially in nice condition. The very first coin I found with a detector was an 1895 V nickle.

Very nice. Both coins show very little wear when they were lost. The site probably had long term use. The V- Nickel was likely lost in 1905 or 1906. When I find a coin that shows very little circulation,I assume there are well circulated coins in the area that are 15-20 years older that were lost at the same time. There is probably several 1880's coins at your site. Nice hunting.
