Privy?

Does anyone have any experience digging privy's? We have one near an old farm site in the middle of the woods and are not sure how to tackle this. It's on a hillside lined with stones, but the it seems like they filled it in with rocks.

If its built with the backside to the down hill slope of the hill....start looking along the bottom of the hill.....then work your way up with your detector.....you can dig the side of the hill out ,coming in from the side,rather than digging straight down...alot eaisier that way

Also , find the likely path used that went to the house and hunt that

Look out for snakes.
