Hi !!

Today I found a Russian (tsar's army) badge.
Winter is comming to Poland, so I think that I won't find anything "cooler" this year.
This season I found two badges, but (today's badge) the one with double headed eagle , I like most.
Take a look.

I use White's Prizm V, size of the badge.... Inches are strange to me.
But the size of it in millimeters is.: 37x20 mm.

Is there a lot of competition over there?

Deepens what You mean by "lot". But in Warsaw plenty of people have detectors.
It's not easy to find something really cool, I'm happy I did.

Mostly all the fields around Warsaw. Battle fields are already searched, at the military training areas there are usually "modern rubbish" that I'm not interested in.
To be honest, I don't "search" for a place to go. I'm just getting into my car, and going for digging. That's all.

is that top forest pic. the top of a man made ridge
my uncle has a long grave on his property that looks
just like that "ridge"
It is 113 meters long and the local university sends
out students every spring to collect the bones that
the foxes and badgers have pulled out from their dens
over the winter.
I personal have only found a couple of stone tools
Pre-Viking but still something to put on the mantle

(not suggesting you dig up a grave)
but the area around could have some non metal finds
