Probably not a big deal to most, but I was thrilled to find these...

Got out yesterday to an old church parsonage. They been doing some repairs on the old porch/patio on the front of the house. Got to go in and run the detector for an hour or so and was able to find a 1897 IH. This was a double first for me, first IH and broke the 1900's barrier also. Was also able to come up with three wheats a 1911d, 1919s, 1929s and a silver 1948d dime that had become a lawn mower fatality. Like I said this was a big thrill for me but probably not a big deal to most. Oh well had a great time. View attachment 678205View attachment 678206

Not a big deal!?! I don't know about others but it is to me! Finding even an Indian head would make my day! I've found them before but it never gets old to me.

Finding IH are always exciting for me. I have found over a dozen and still shake after one. Though the value of an IHP does not usuallly compare to silver it is still one of my favorite coins to unearth. WTG on the older wheat dates also.

I agree if in Indian has a date 1899 or older they are especially special to me.
I line anything 1899 & older
