Proof pennies and why we save silver...

I've got 2 questions for all you folks here on TreasureNet today.

1. Has anyone here found a proof penny searching through pennies yet? So far I've found a proof of every other denomination except pennies (and dollar coins).

2. I've read about a couple people saving silver for the "Zombie Apocalypse," but wouldn't your stash of silver be more useful in the "Vampire Apocalypse" instead?

I have surplus World war 2 weapons for the zombies. My SKS with bayonet will take care of them. The silver, passport, and handgun are for when I must flee, Jason Bourne style.

I was sorting through copper with my machine and i happened to see a 1968 proof in the ZINC pile! must have been to good to match a regular copper. but it wasnt that beat up, and it isnt a "proof" but part of a Special Mint Set (SMS) for that year!

I got a 1980-S proof in my last penny box. 1st proof cent ever from the wild. just need to find the dime and quarter now.

3 boxes ago, I got my first ever proof penny in superb condition. It came out reverse first, I immediately knew it was a proof. 2000-s proof penny. Not one of those 1974-s pennies for business strike that people think are proofs.

I put the 2000-d proof in a cardboard 2x2.

Sorry, no scans, computer broke, using laptop, cannot hook up the scanner to laptop.
