Prosepting Purgatoire River, CO. and or the Spanish Peaks, CO. Any suggestions?

I'm headed to the Purgatoire River and Spanish Peaks Colorado to camp, fish, backpack, and hike. More importantly I will be prospecting that area. Does anyone one have any info?

Sure there’s gold in the river in the La Veta to Fort Garland area. There’s also gold in the Arkansas River of course. Does that help?
