[?] is because I know basically nothing about this machine..
I'm an ebay specialist for a company that specializes in store buyouts, customer returns, overstock and damaged goods.. A couple of days ago I was digging through a gaylord full of sporting goods & clothing from a well known company and when I pulled out the inflatable raft from the box I saw this guy staring up at me
.. All I knew at first glance was that it's a metal detector and that I would be buying it for myself because I really needed that 5th backup unit 
The salvage tag on the box read "damaged" but my experience was telling me that it was probably only referring to the box.. Sure enough, I brought it home and saw that not only was it in perfect condition, it had never been taken out of the box.. In fact, I had to cut the box down the side just to get it out.. I brought it out for just 30-45 minutes so far but did it blindly without reading anything about it, no reviews, no tips & tricks and I also had no idea what the retail value of the machine was.. That being said, it felt very light and although I found a few coins, I felt that I wasn't getting any depth at all out of it.. I was impressed with the pin-pointing but I was certain that I'd be returning it to my work and passing on it.. After returning home I did bit of research on the unit and apparently this is a well-liked machine, yes? I've always liked my ACE 250 but some user reviews of the Delta 4000 have put it ahead of the ACE in almost all categories which surprised me a bit.. I also learned that I was a bit off on my guess work for operating the machine and I'm anxious to bring it out again with my newly gained knowledge.. In conclusion, I will be keeping this unit for myself and I'm sure I'll be happy to have it in my lineup.
