Alright ladies and gents. Forgot to post this since I've been upsetabout my detector breaking and missing out on a killer relic hunt. Was driving to my buddies property around 6 am on a dark 2 lane county hwy when ahead of me heading my way I see a car swerve and then swerve in my lane and into grass and back onto road. I slowed down and slowly passed the car as it rolled by me I noticed the front of the car was mangled. I turned around and got in behind her with my flashers on. I notice a enormous buck lying in the ditch motionless and as I walk up I can hear woman crying. I couldn't see her cause all her airbags were covering my line of sight. I opened the door and asked her if she was ok and she said "no". I then told her I was calling her a ambulance and asked is there someone she needed me to call. I dialed her daughters number for her and told her daughter what had happened and said the ambulance was on its way. The woman's car began smoking and she was still in the car crying and I looked under the hood and noticed it was so mangled that the front passenger side front bumper all the way back to the windshield was completely demolished and the smoke wasn't the coolant leaking out it was the fuse box catching fire. I ran back to her door and asked her if she could move and told her to try her best not to move too much and I would help her to my car where she could sit safely while I tried to unhook her battery cables so there wasn't a bigger risk of an electric fire. I sat her down in my drivers seat and called her daughter back for her and unplugged battery and waited till ems arrived.
I have to mention that I am no longer a cop anymore and that I will say as did the EMT and the tow truck driver this is the worst wreck they have ever seen involving a deer only. I guided traffic along and made sure she got loaded up safely into the ambulance and watched them load her car up and take off before I left. Cops never showed up and luckily it wasn't a fatality or we would have sat there forever waiting on a Trooper to arrive.
All in all I thought to myself as I was leaving there today that maybe my day would get a little better. Well not so much.. my detector broke. Thanks for reading everyone. Stay safe and watch out for Bambi
