Pyritized Baculite

County road department has been mining clay on a friend's
land in Northern Iowa. After hard rains it's easier to find
agates so today we had a short hunt. Found a few and then
my son finds this. Never have seen anything like it. Outer shell
is very Mother of Pearl like. Center is solid Pyrite. Very heavy.
