Qing dynasty Pixui??

I have bought these two carnelian carved pixui and they where decribed as being Qing dynasty. But are they Qing dynasty or are they modern?

It's almost impossible to date items like this based on photographs alone, but these look awfully like rotary tool marks that haven't been polished out:

Generally, you don't see marks like this on pieces made before 1935 when the Dremel Moto-Tool first reached the market, followed by others.

i thought so myself, luckly i didn't pay much. P.S. i told the seller that it is not qing dynasty and he says they where collected before 1948??

So what? The Qing Dynasty ended in 1912. A post-dynastic piece made in the 1940s might well have been produced using rotary tools.
