Nice finds....funny I just found what appears to be a gilded 1909 wheat cent.
 

When I was a kid back in the 60's, some kids would bring pennies to school that had been dipped in Mercury that looked just like that Chris. The Mercury would adhere to the tarnish on the coin and be permanent.

I done the same thing Rick with penny's. Shine them like dimes. Didn't know how dangerous it was then.

I recall as a kid using mercury to rub on dimes,sure looked cool,don't know how long it lasts though.

I hit the same old spots and do well.Now that the crops are being harvested fields are opening up,my FAVORITE spots
