Quarter field finds,last 2 hunts

Have'nt posted in a while,went back to the Quarter field where I've pulled out over 500 quarters. Still has Silver to be found in all forms,cool Sterling fork handle and coins,clad too,always LOTS of it, 53 plated wheat,looks to be chrome. God Bless Chris

Nice finds....funny I just found what appears to be a gilded 1909 wheat cent.

When I was a kid back in the 60's, some kids would bring pennies to school that had been dipped in Mercury that looked just like that Chris. The Mercury would adhere to the tarnish on the coin and be permanent.

I done the same thing Rick with penny's. Shine them like dimes. Didn't know how dangerous it was then.

I recall as a kid using mercury to rub on dimes,sure looked cool,don't know how long it lasts though.
