quarter & Penny error coin found, you got to see this. And on the quarter it has liberty on the side and a date, all I have say is WOW

What is the error with the penny?

My guess with the quarter is that someone banged it hard with the end of a pipe... Or am I missing something on it too

the 1960 is to wide and a miss on the sides, same as other penny, I look it up and it is a error penny and the quarter have liberty and looks like a nickle was on top of the quarter and the date on the mark look like the date as the same, I wish I know more about it here at the newspaper some say it was an error coin 1965

I see the Liberty struck on the band of the planchet.

I am by no means an expert at all but I have collected coins for over twenty years and I don't believe the quarter is an error.

Here's my 2 cents... Off centers, like your cents are not worth much more than a few
cents. In fact, unless they are really off center, like half the planchet, they are not even
considered collectable. As for the quarter, I agree with an earlier post. Someone took a
different coin, and somehow smacked it and the impression was made. If it were an actual
die strike, there would be other evidences of the die. You can see where the original hit on
the coin was made, but there are no die marks. Like I said... just my 2 cents.

I bought a set of 6 struck between 20 to 70% off on Ebay for $10 for all of them. Gave them to my son.....he enjoys them...can be had on ebay for a few bucks each...but I am talking about real error coins..not mutilated coins.

Yeah, sorry to burst your bubble as well but all I see here is a cleaned 1960 penny, a 1982 penny and a mutilated 1965 quarter....no errors at all.......

Looks like a nickel was put on top of the quarter and somehow they got squashed together...by a car, press, hammer...who knows, but if it was a die error, the letters would be raised, and not pressed into the coin.

well 1960 is a big date and fat and same as 1982, in the coin book it shows them what I am saying, I check more on the quarter, but I have seen one like it in a coin book somewhere

I did not do that to the quarter I got the it in change, I got to find that book with the quarter on it, I don't do ebay for info, never, I go coin page, ebay is not a good place to buy coins from what I read here
