Trouble with app.

$200 and $210 yielded one beautiful 1959 Washington. That and some nonsilver Canadian. This is my second crh silver quarter. I searched my first box of quarters yesterday and got skunked. I'm going to start doing more quarter volume and see what happens. I can post pics later tonight if anyone is interested. HH

You sir are in a very elite club. So few have found silver quarters in the wild. Did they cone from mwr or cwr? Also I'd love to see pics

Thanks Thorne. I think a big reason so few find them is that so few try. I was advised by a friend who owns a coin shop and has hunted extensively, not to bother with them. Lately though my dime boxes have been really poor with multiple box skunk streaks so I figure I haven't much to lose trying more quarters. Ill post a pic later tonight and they were cwr that I searched.

How many quarters did it take to find that?

I think I've been through around$2000 of cwr and one fed box. Two silver out of the cwr and skunked on the fed box.

I think "Congrats" are in order. I really love silver quarters. Maybe ebcause they seem to be the perfect size coin. They hold about $5.00 in value and you think what you can buy for $5. I'm no where near being alive in 64, nevermind being old enough to buy stuff back then, but the thought of what I can buy at the grocery store for $5-6 and the fact that a quarter holds that value now is impressive to me. I foot long (or 11 inch at subway) sub for a quarter? Now I'd need a roll of dimes.

Sorry for the tangent. I just love the silver quarters. I have 4 that my gransmother gave me. Never found one on my own though.

I've gone through 3 boxes of CAN quarters and found a US 64 in the last one. I had no idea they were hard to find in the US with the exception of Wickaboag LOL. So far I've pulled 2 CAN from the late 50's and a bunch of the CAN 68's. I like this new hobby and it's helped me find some nice coins and some silvers as well.

There is no such thing as a "fed box."
Sag, you are correct but this is the term my tellers use so I've gotten in the habit of using it.

The tellas always call them fed boxes, 'federal wrapped', 'federally wrapped', 'you sure you want these?'

back on topic, some districts have good quarter yields, brinks quarter average has surpassed my dime average with them, look at my previous posts, I posted pics of a recent quarter hunt. 2 boxes gave me 5 silver quarters.
