Feeling much better now so I decided to go for a look. The quartz piece looks to be a Adena knife to me. Quartz can be hard to tell sometimes. Found a couple of shards with print and of course a heart breaker made of black flint. The pretty ones seem to be broken most of the times.

I have been studying the quartz deposits for gold bearing rocks and the range that dips of out of the Appalacia. With all the quartz you find you might try carrying a gold pan for your creeks if they have a hard bottom? Nice quartz piece. I am proud of the few pieces I get here. They traveled to here.

Nice finds! Glad you're back out there. I've been out of commission since Aug 13.

A good hunt regardless, that Quartz doesn't hold the edge well over time

Most of it is cobble bottom but the section I decided to walk down was for sure mud on the bottom. The tree branch I was hanging onto for support broke and I took a header. Covered with mud the whole trip but it was above 50 so it wasnt to bad. Never tried to pan for gold.

Rock that sugar quartz knife is so unique…nice find!

Nice quarts piece "rock" and some pottery to boot. From now on try to save those "headers" for 80-90 degree days, been there, done that![emoji122]

Accidents happen every once in a while. I took a shortcut I was thinking but didnt know how steep it was till I was halfway down. Live and learn.

Nice quartz point there Rock! Hope they harvest the cotton crop soon for ya. I'm waiting to.

Halfway done rite now. Its windy which is great for a cotton field it will help blow it off the fields or put it in clumps which will help for my visual of the ground. Hunting season started today so I dont know if they will finish today or not. But it will be done by next week for sure. Hopefully I get a day off next week cause that is where I am going. Hit the good spots 1st then spread out after. It will be nice to walk dry ground again.
