Good morning, I've read quite a few times that setting discrimination between 6 and 7 can mitigate TID up averaging / down averaging. I was wondering, is there also a relationship between reactivity and / or coil size with regards to up averaging and down averaging of TID's?

That is a great question and I have always thought we will never have an exact answer as we would need to know exactly how the "filters" work and just how the machine is averaging the metal content of the surrounding magnetic field.
Keep in mind that almost all soil has some sort of minerals in it that the machine needs to read and then filter out from real targets. I am really looking forward to this discussion!

Thanks austin_luker! I understand if the discussion has to wait until after the game is over!
