Question on G2 and Excal

Since the G2 hits harder on gold jewelry than it does coins, has anyone compared it's depth vs the Excal for gold jewelry in the wet salt sand? Just wondering if and when a really big coil does come out for the G2 if it would be better to get that big coil instead of using the WOT on the Excal. HH
