Well, there are a few No FG errors and other varieties to look for, get a coin book and do a little research, they do pop up once in a while

should I be saving the decent P mint halfs I find?
I got one 2000 p in decent shape except for the marks when it was put at the end of a roll.
Besides pre 1970 halves, what should I keep?

If you are in this for the long run and search lots of rolls and boxes, you will no doubt be able to cherry pick a complete set of JFK's in near mint condition. Keep the best you can find, till you find a better one to replace it, if you are looking to fill your book. Otherwise you will tie up a lot of capitol on coins that aren't really worth much.

I just keep the Silver Halves 90% and 40% and all Silver and Clad Proofs "S" halves

I drill holes on all NIFC Clad in order to make them more valuable for the CRH that keeps them.

JK I do not drill holes, I just send them back to the wild
