unless from the early 1900's $2.00 bills are not worth more then $2.00
although Mint 1976's may have a premium of a Quarter or so.

Silver Certificats must also be in Mint condition to
get a dealer/Buyer intrested but
Could carry a premium to those who just like them.

The Exceptin would be all the "Horse Blankets"
(Early large Style Notes)
would carry a definate Premium

The last Silver Certificate was made in 1957 or 58, I believe. Certainly not as late as 1976.

If they are offering them at face value, I jump on a few (if not all of them). If they're asking more than that, I'd research the values and pay accordingly.

My wife got a $1 Silver Cert in change today. Has a little rip that someone put clear tape over, and looks used, but cool find anyway. It's a 1957. Was also wondering what the value is ??.

Hey secondcup, I believe Jeffs first paragraph was discussing just the $2.00 (non silver certificates). Just trying to clear up any confusion :D! Good luck, Gpurs...
