Question when Traveling with my Garrett AT Pro Pointer

Hey smart folks,

I'm taking my carrot with me to Jamaica because, well, you never know. I'm worried if I pack it with my snorkeling gear in my check-in baggage, it'll be stolen. But if I carry it on -especially with new terrorist developments, security will confiscate it.

I'm also afraid that if I mail it to our resort, I'll never see it again. Can you tell I love my Garrett carrot!

Anyone feel like sharing their advise?

Point taken. I'll put it in my wife's suitcase with all her other personal effects! She won't allow me to take my Metal detector. It's the least she could do!

I never us a pin pointer when I beach hunt. Just my detector and a sand scoop.
