what is the actual meaning for ground balancing.....as most of u kno i am getting the xterra 50 and i was wondering would i would do to ground balance it.

ground balancing is like a fine tune adjustment on your detector. it helps the detector to be able to "see" through minerilized ground better so that you can detect targets deeper. im sure someone on here can give you the technical explaination for it. as far as setting the ground balance on your xterra, there should be detailed instructions included in your x-terras owners manual.

Ground balance adjusts the detector's ability to cancel out effect of soil mineralzation.
