Questions about panning/sluicing locations in Ga and Alabama

Have been metal detecting for many years but have decided to try panning and possibly sluicing. Any advice on locations in Ga and Alabama. I was going to join the gpaa but was told they have no claims in either state. From what I have read there appear to be several open to the public locations where you can pay to access the locations but not being from either state I have no idea where the best places are. Any info would be appreciated.

Eastern Alabama at Alabama Gold Camp is a nice pay to dig /dredge location! I was there probly 12 years ago and had a good time.
