Can you believe that! :D Gotta make this post a speedy one! :D

Went to the lake yesterday with Lisa and Terri. Lots and lots of pulltabs and beer cans. I did manage two wheats and 73 cents a great fossil..

LOTS and LOTS of lures and weights!!!

A couple of Coke bottles...Huntsville Al and Greensboro NC...all the pottery shards are from an old house that was covered over by the lake...

And a 10K GF wedding ring....

Looked up the LEGI that was printed on the inside of the ring and that company has been around since the mid 1800's.

Have a great week hunting!!!! Nana :)

O.K. Nanners...only 499.75 more miles of shoreline to cover.

Nice finds. Always love the old Coke bottles. The ring is nice too. As for your fossil, I'm not convinced it it one. It looks more like layered sandstone to me that it does wood. Just a guess. WTG

Hey! Thanks ya'll! :) Was busy entertaining the birthday boy today, so not much time to spend on the post. :)

Jim..I was thinking the same as Ed...petrified wood maybe? ???

MM....LOTS a fishing goin on around here! :D I will say I was quite surprised at how many were there Saturday though.

Neb...Here's a picture of the fossil/rock from the side view. Looks like two pieces smashed together. What do ya think?

ME.....you are WAY too kind! :-* ;)

Weasel....I assume that ring had been under water for quite some time. It took me 30 minutes of cleaning just to be able to find any sort of marks on the inside. :P

Ty....well...before md'ing came along, I fished all the time. :D Now...not so much. I think we may have gone three or four times this summer. :D

Thanks again, ya'll! Have a great week and find somethin' good!!!

Nana ;)

Thanks for the side view of the rock. It very easily could be petrified wood. It looks a little like some of the old petrified cotton wood tree bark I used to find as a kid. Depending on how sturdy it is, with the lines in it, it might polish up quite well, and could be used in making some pretty jewelry. WTG

Great finds Nana...Those lures are a handful of change right there and the ring is nice.......But that picture of Charlie and the boys is just precious....
