Can you believe that! Gotta make this post a speedy one!

Went to the lake yesterday with Lisa and Terri. Lots and lots of pulltabs and beer cans. I did manage two wheats and 73 cents a great fossil..

LOTS and LOTS of lures and weights!!!

A couple of Coke bottles...Huntsville Al and Greensboro NC...all the pottery shards are from an old house that was covered over by the lake...

And a 10K GF wedding ring....

Looked up the LEGI that was printed on the inside of the ring and that company has been around since the mid 1800's.

if you can see any kind of fibers in your fossil...it may be an ancient indian pot...ive found shards of indian pottery and they stacked the clay to make the pot...its really kewl whatever it is...

Duffy...I didn't know that either! Thanks! I rinsed all the loose dirt off but can't see any fibers. I do know that there were Indians here at one time. Folks come here when the water is low to look for Indian artifacts. I looked for arrowheads myself while I was there but didn't come across any.

Ed...I forgot to take a picture. :P But..just looking at it under the mag glass, this piece doesn't look ANYTHING like the pic you posted!
