Been busy all day but managed to make a quick stop after all I was only 20 mins away. I took the advice of my buddy digger27, he said try AM -9 threshold and swing low and slow. It works gooood. Thank you to ALL my TNet friends for teach me along this journey [emoji1317]

UPDATE: I’ve been going to this park for my whole 3 years of detecting. I detect the part of the park that leads to the museum from the only street that comes from the French Quarter to the park, Esplanade Ave which which runs thru a section called the Treme the oldest neighborhood in N.O. So I figured that that’s where everyone back in the day came from and lived. There’s also about half a mile section to the left that runs down City Park Ave which has the oldest oak trees which the oldest one clocks in at 800 years old. Now I’ve done that strip (about 200 acres) and never really found anything good, but the front section I’ve gotten all those V nickels, not one Buffalo which I find strange with in its self. But I stumbled in this other little section (50X50) across the entrance from my V nickel spot and scored all these minnis. I’ve hit it pretty hard and it shows lol, but I don’t know why I haven’t found any other CW relics or even a old coin just these bullets? Not 1 silver in three years except war nickels, but nickels are my special gift for some odd reason. I don’t know it just seams weird to me.

***I need to make a correction I found the minni within the first 30 mins I detected an hour.

Another 5 star

Nice job Bud! Is that bullet carved? Looks like a swirl around the top. Might just be dirt.

It's good that you find these.

At least you have a good age indicator of the soil. Regardless of where it might have originated, it still tells the age. Wish I'd find a bit more age indicators like this.

Good job!

Congrats on the CW lead....always nice saving some cool history. Have you hunted any on St.Charles street? Thinking there is quite a bit of grassy area most of the way down...taking care not to get run over by the trolley. Rode that puppie many a day...way cool

I went to De La Salle on St Charles Ave. I rode it quit a few times myself. I have detected that library that was a donated mansion from 1902 and a small park off St Charles. Nothing. I’ve also detected Audubon Park 1 Buffalo, 1 Franklin. That’s it.
