Agree with the assessment that the specimen is not an ancient native American artifact, but a recent reproduction.

Sorry, I also agree it is not an ancient native American artifact, looks like it is made from a slab cut stone.

It's cool, but looks like a repro, and a bad repro at that. If it was the real deal, it would probably be a knife.

The back is flat because it would cost more to put the extra labor into it. Flat side will lie nicely in a frame or as a wall hanging. I’d guess the origin to be 3rd world.
