Hello there fellow treasure hunters I am new to the treasure hunting hobby if you want to call it that and was sitting down on my property and noticed a couple of interesting carvings in these trees around me before you ask I lived in siskiyou county right along the railroad area where there would have been easy access...I have 2 tree circles to witch the centers hold water as well as several "hoot owl" tree arbours. I need some help......

Those look like natural drying cracks around old cut scars. If those trees are under 1' in diameter, they are way too young for any kind of old treasure scars.

If you're thinking "Indian Treasure" ... have you ever been to a reservation? Sure must be great to be so wealthy that you live in one of those resorts!

Fact: Those type markings on beech trees by Native Americans were to mark sacred sites or personal treasures. In one instance, a tiny set of moccasins that were carefully wrapped and hidden away (perhaps remembering the loss of a child). You can get rich on that type of stuff.

To all the naysayers and skeptics I was an m1 as well I never meant to stumble upon this nor was I seeking it but I am not bsing when I say that they are not just natural marks they have been carved as well as they are well over a hundred years old. And for those native American fans sorry sir I do not live anywhere near an active reservation but live in an area where there were many natives slaughtered. Now on the other hand I do know that there was KGC / Jesse James and younger gang up here around the California gold Rush time along with multiple accounts from people that are local that there were many Asian slaves. If that's the case then I would possibly suggest that they are either Spanish signs that have been converted by the KGC or Asian in origin. As for how old are they I can't quite say some of them seem as if they were done and maybe the 60s but they were done over or on top of existing scars / marks I'm just trying to find out if I've stumbled across something or not I will try to post some more pictures of trees that are around me and my area and as I said I have two circles of trees on the top side of my property that consists of three different types of trees and they hold water if I allow them to but I don't want to have mosquitoes in stagnant water which it's not a fun thing makes you feel like you're getting eaten alive

Here a couple more pics of trees around my property....

Mt. Shasta area California.... Possibly kgc/Spanish signs or ?????

What type of tree is this, and what altitude are you at I can tell in your second pick that circle around the tree at the bottom of it is from a winch line.

They are black oaks and very tall... I'm not sure the altitude i believe around 2500'

And for those native American fans sorry sir I do not live anywhere near an active reservation but live in an area where there were many natives slaughtered.

Won't find the marked trees I'm talking of on any reservations. Probably won't find any made after the "relocation" of the 1800's. My words were just information, not a judgment.

The marks don't look like those on the language trees anyhow after seeing your later post.

Be well.
