8) (SUNNY out...); still doing research on ALL this, and thought THIS was interesting... http://www.rootsweb.com/~kycarter/news/lost_silver_mines.htm MAY be wrong, but... looking at the time period (late 1700's - early 1800's)... thinking it MAINLY relates to coinage counterfeiting in Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, "West Virginia"... Pirates & Privateers, and the newly formed 13 states, BEFORE the 2nd War of Independence (aka War of 1812...).
