R.K.O Star Popsicle Tokens

[bigcountrydigger]

Found two of these popsicle tokens today on a hunt in Steelville, MO. They have Irene Dunne on the front on them. I have no idea the significance of these tokens. Does anyone

Thanks

I knew she was an actress, but why were they made? Or what were they used for?

They were pretty popular in the 30s and 40s, they came in popsicles.
they're all over Ebay.

Found something on it. As Diggit said, I would imagine they came with every popsicle purchased. It induced consumers to buy more and try to collect an entire set possibly for a prize. Thats how it usually works.
