Rabbit Whistle?

Found this today while digging a top to a soda can. Didn't know what it was at first and just threw it in the bag. After cleaning it at home, I discovered it is a whistle. Looked on ebay and found a couple like it, but nothing of a rabbit. Made of porcelain. And about 2 1/4" long and 1 1/2" wide.

Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks

I don't know what search terms you used but if you search for antique/ventage “predator calls or varmint calls” you will find a few hits.

Sounds just like a regular whistle, no distressed rabbit or anything. Just a whistle.

I don't know.I wonder how many toys for kids were made out of lead in those days? I wonder how many kids got real guns for presents in those days? This is an old whistle.Not made in todays "soft" world where everything has to go through safety trials and tests and be pre-approved by some pansy group of worry worts.Think about it.Just an educated guess too.
