Hi Guys and Gals,

This is stuff I found about a week ago while looking along a railway line just down the road from me here in South Africa. The gauge is a O2 (oxygen) probably from a medical bottle and does look oldish compared to gauges of today. It weighs a fair amount also. I have cleaned it up. Funny from my side, but it was made by "U.S gauge Co NY Pat: July 31:17" Dont know if that means July 1931 or what.

The other two items are South African Railways Electrical insulators for the poles.

I must go and look more....... I must get a metal detector? ::)

It means July 31, 1917. I think patent dates could stay on for 10 years. So this would mean that it's age is somewhere between 1917 and 1927.
