I am putting together a group of hardworking, semi-retired guys (and gals) who want to go treasure hunting (Civil War sites) and/or diving in NC (various locations) in the fall/winter. Our big project is to outfit a dig boat for finding Spanish treasure in Florida during the spring/summer. The 1715 fleet was lost off the Florida coast just below Cape Canaveral with much treasure aboard. It continues to be salvaged each spring/summer under a permit with the state of Florida. I have been part of several 1715 recovery groups since 2006, but many of those retirees have passed on, or gotten physically unable to do it anymore. I am looking for some new team members who have the skills to offer the team (mechanics, electricians,sailors, divers, jack-of-all-trades, etc). Most of the the work and trips will be in NC throughout the year, with late spring/summer rotations of those who want to go to Florida. Why are you interested and what can you offer team?
