Damn... I am not on the list yet...

Here is a story of my grandpa: He was officer in a tank division and on one day he looked out of a tank with his binoculars when a sniper shot through his left hand and through the entire binocular. Close call !
His hand never real reconvert from the shot and he wasn´t able to move his middle finger but anyway it was luck for him. Just 3 or 4 inches saved his live. The shot wasn´t coming directly from the side or his other hand would maybe gone complete after penetrating the binoculars.
Oh...most important!: This "bad" sniper made it also possible that I can speak to you today because all my grandpa´s daughters was "made" after 1946 !!

bad news i can't get the black powder pistol because 1. i learned its expensive to upkeep them 2. my mom wasn't on board with it 3. everything you have to buy for it is a lot of money $20 for a pound of black powder. I'm thinking about a regular pistol

Did you ever thought about a crossbow?
Makes a lot of fun, specially if you try prone precision shooting from 70 to 100 meters. It is much cheaper as to shoot real weapons and it is not so loud
You will be surprised what kind of precision is possible with it!

Bill, that´s not real true!
The string, or a broken bow can snap into your face or if you buy a Tenpoint CB as example, the entire crossbow can hit your face when the foot stirrup breaks while cocking the bow! Happens here to a shooter last year.
And if you are stupid enough, you can shoot in your own foot trying too uncocking the string with a loaded bow!!
The trigger mechanism of my wife's Tenpoint didn´t worked correctly since the beginning and she tried it many times to fix it while the CB was loaded. Every time I saw it, my heart slipped down to my pants...

A friend had some years ago a factory loaded shell with two bullets pressed into it. Ruined his rifle. Luck not more happened.

How about a PCP pellet rifle ? from 17 cal. all the way up to 50 cal.

Reloading ? Check,double check, and triple check . Ammo dosen't care who or what is around When they go boom
